ABSTRACT
The aim of the study. To develop and introduce into clinical practice a new method of orthopedic treatment of partial secondary edentia using dental prostheses supported by dental implants with a hybrid method of fixation.
Objects and methods. A total of 103 patients with adentia. The patients were stratified into 3 groups: comparison group 1 consisted of patients who received dentures supported by dental implants fixed using glass ionomer cement; сomparison group 2 consisted of patients who had dentures made with support on dental implants with screw fixation (; in patients of the main group, a hybrid method of fixing dentures with support on dental implants was used. The control group consisted of 30 practically healthy volunteers. Clinical observation of patients in the study groups was carried out for 18 months – before treatment, on the 2nd-3rd day after delivery of orthopedic structures and 1, 6, 12 and 18 months after treatment.
Results and discussion. The developed method is hybrid, as it combines the advantages of screw and cement fixation of fixed dentures with support on dental implants. Evaluation of clinical efficacy demonstrated good therapeutic results in 42.4 % of patients with screw fixation. At the same time, the use of prostheses supported by dental implants fixed using the hybrid method led to good treatment results in 97.1 % of patients.
Conclusion.  Practical recommendations are given for the application of a new method of orthopedic treatment of partial secondary adentia using a hybrid cement-screw method of fixing dental prostheses supported by dental implants.

Keywords: partial secondary adentia, dental implants, hybrid fixation
