Errors and complications that occur in the fabrication of adhesionretaining prosthesis

ABSTRACT
When one tooth is missing in the aesthetic zone of the dentition, the dentist determines the indications for the choice of the optimal treatment method, one of which is the fabrication of an adhesive or adhesive-retaining prosthesis.
The aim of the study. To investigate the errors and complications arising during the fabrication of adhesive splinting prosthesis.
Objects and methods. In accordance with the purpose of the study, visual assessment of the fabricated adhesive-retaining prostheses was performed in 220 patients.
Results and discussion. The complications arising at splinting of teeth at acute and chronic traumas were revealed. The main causes of complications at the stages of adhesive splinting prosthesis fabrication were analyzed.
Conclusion.  Knowledge of the causes of errors and complications arising in the process of fabrication of adhesive-retaining prosthesis allows to choose a method of treatment with an optimal location, optimize the work at all stages and thus minimize the occurrence of complications.
