Neurodystrophic component of chronic periodontitis development

ABSTRACT
The article discusses changes in the structural and functional parameter of the interdental papilla of the gum in periodontal diseases as evidence of a neurodystrophic processs.
The aim of the studyis to establish and analyze neuro-tissue relationships in the tissue of the gingiva with the development the chronic periodontitis as evidence of a neurodystrophic processs.
Objects and methods. 200 patients of a dental clinic aged 20-50 years were examined. Dental diagnosis was made on the basis of a survey and elimination of patients determining hygienic and gingival and gingival complex regional indices ,the index of peripheral blood circulation. Periodontitis in animals was caused by 90 daily immobilization and the introduction of turpentine into the gums. Interdental papillae of human gums and experimental animals were subjected to morphological analysis. Studied morphometric parameter of the gingiva epithelium lamina propria of the mucosa and innervation apparatus. All quantitative indicators were subjected to statistical processing.
Results and discussion. Comparative analysis of the structure of metabolic parameters of the gingiva of the interdental papilla of humans in experimental animals showed the identity of changes in the clinical and experimental materials. Revealed changes in the kariometric and metabolic data in the epithelial layer of the mucosa. Changes in the microcirculation bed and innervation apparatus were observed in the lamina propria. The dynamics of these changes is described according to duration of the pathological process.
Conclusion. Analysis of our own research results in conjunction with literature data allowed us to conclude that the observed violation of the neuro tissue relationship in the gums with the periodontal diseases can be interpreted as a manifestation of neurodystrophic process.
