ABSTRACT
Nowadays there are contradictory single morphological studies of the endoperiodontal lesions that confirms the relevance of the research.
The aim of study. The aim of the study is to verify the combined inflammatory and destructive lesion of the marginalalveolar and apical topographic zones of the periodontium in the area of teeth with endoperiodontitis in periodontal patients on the basis of the pathomorphological examination.
Objects and methods. The subject of the pathomorphological study is 60 biopsies of the periodontal tissues in the area of teeth with endoperiodontitis. Pathohistological sections with a thickness of 4 microns were stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Light microscopy was carried out using the optical system of the microscope Leica DM 2500, photo-camera Leica DFX450S.
Results and discussion. The pathomorphological feature of the marginal-alveolar zone is a plexiform hyperplasia of the squamous epithelium (76.9%). The apical zone consists of the mature granulation tissue (71.8%) with strands of regenerating squamous epithelium.
Conclusions.. Combined pathomorphological changes in the marginal-alveolar and apical topographic zones of the periodontium are verified in the area of teeth with endoperiodontitis that is manifested at the cellular, tissue and microcirculatory levels by the following signs: productive inflammation of the predominantly moderate severity (χ2 = 3,39; p = 0,066), lymphohistiocytic infiltration (χ2 = 1,6; p = 0,206), proliferation of the young granulation tissue (F = 7,49; p = 0,467), fibroplasia with the formation of the dense connective tissue (χ2 = 0.54; p = 0.464), plexiform hyperplasia of the squamous epithelium (χ2 = 1.03; p = 0,311), sclerosis and hyalinosis of the vascular walls (χ2 = 0,83; p = 0,361).
