Modern concept of experimental research on biological models in dental implantology

ABSTRACT
The most important component of scientific research is an experiment based on experience with precisely accounted and controlled conditions. The significance of the experiment performed with the involvement of animals is great, since animals represent the most optimal model of the human body.
The aim of the study is to derive a modern concept of experimental research conducted on biological models in dental implantology based on the analysis of own experimental data and information from the special literature presented in the periodical press in the last 25 years.
Objects and methods. The experiment was made on 10 individuals of male Chinchilla rabbits. The types of bone tissue of the experimental animals were determined on basis of the Hounsfield index determined by the results of cone-beam computed tomography. The special literature containing information on experimental studies on dental implantation was analyzed: periodicals for the last 25 years, basic manuals and monographs without a statute of limitations.
Results and discussion. Based on the Housefield index determined by the results of cone-beam computed tomography, 4 types of bone tissue were determined in the skeleton of experimental rabbit objects.
Conclusion. The results of the analysis of the information in the special literature and own data obtained under experimental conditions allowed us to find out the modern concept of experimental research in dental implantology which allows taking into account the type of bone tissue, using a Chinchilla rabbit as a biological object for preclinical studies.
