Methods for reconstructing a narrow alveolar ridge of the lower jaw with immediate dental implantation

ABSTRACT
The method of dental implantation is a popular method of partial and complete loss of teeth treatment nowadays. Against a backdrop of the rapid and active advancement of prosthetic methods on dental implants, one of the significant problems is the insufficient volume and low density of bone tissue in the area of the planned installation of dental implants. However, the need for additional surgery to reconstruct the bone tissue of the jaws increases the total duration of treatment, one of the options is immediate dental implantation with a simultaneous increase in the volume of the alveolar part of the lower jaw.
The aim of the study. To explain the one-stage method of reconstruction of the bone tissue of the lower jaw using immediate implantation in case of bone tissue deficiency.
Objects and methods. Patients with secondary partial adentia with a narrow ridge of the alveolar part of the lower jaw. Patients underwent immediate implantation simultaneously with bone grafting.
Results and discussion. Based on the results of treatment, the method of choice for reconstruction of the lower jaw was splitting the alveolar ridge and taking an autograft from the chin area.
Conclusion. Direct dental implantation in case of bone tissue deficiency with simultaneous reconstructive operations to increase the volume of bone tissue is possible in case that normal bone architecture is created and optimal positioning of dental implants.
