The results of the evaluation of clinical approbation of splinting of mobile teeth in acute and chronic traumas

ABSTRACT
On the basis of our experimental and clinical studies, analysis of possible causes of errors and complications arising during the fabrication of adhesive splinting structures and in the course of their operation, new methods of tooth immobilization were developed and their clinical aprobation was evaluated.
The aim of the study. To evaluate the clinical aprobation of the method of splinting of mobile teeth in acute and chronic traumas.
Objects and methods. The comparison group included 280 patients whose teeth splinting in chronic trauma was performed using the classical method. A study group of 222 patients was selected, the splinting structures were fabricated in accordance with the treatment method developed by us, which included preparation of teeth for splinting, fabrication of immobilizing structures for teeth with II-nd and III-rd degrees of mobility according to D.A. Entin in case of dense teeth and teeth with fissures and diastema. The integrity of adhesive splinting structures was evaluated immediately after fabrication and after 1.5 and 3 years old of operation.
Results and discussion. The results of the evaluation of adhesive splinting immediately after fabrication and after 1.5 and 3 years of operation in the study group indicate the excellent quality of the fabricated structures using the new method of splinting teeth.
Conclusion.  The introduction of a new method of splinting teeth after trauma allows to increase the service life of the construction.
