Immediate implant placement and functional loading with provisional non-removable prostheses in “all-on-6” concept in total rehabilitation of dental patient

ABSTRACT
The aim of the study was to demonstrate the possibility of quick total functional and aesthetic rehabilitation of dental patient using provisional non-removable implant-supported screw-retained dental prostheses from implant level, installed by “all-on-6” concept.
Objects and methods. In this study a clinical example demonstrates the use of provisional fixed dental prostheses to restore function and aesthetics. Dentures were manufactured using intraoral scanning and additive technology from bis-GMA polymer.
Results and discussion. Extraction of failed teeth and implant placement was carried out simultaneously, but in two consecutive stages by patient request – first on the maxilla, then on the mandible within several days. Provisional screw-retained prostheses from the level of implants with full functional loading were produced and fixed in the patient’s mouth within two days after implant placement and underwent corrections with time to determine the optimal jaws relations. It took 7 days from the first surgery to final fixation of provisional prostheses. Temporary prostheses will be replaced with final after 2.5 months from first surgery.
Conclusion. Fast and atraumatic total rehabilitation of dental patients with temporary non-removable screw-retained implant-supported prostheses by “all-on-6” concept, manufactured using intraoral scanning and additive technology demonstrates its high efficiency.
