ABSTRACT
The multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of dental patients involves a set of measures aimed on restoring the functions and aesthetics of the masticatory-speech apparatus, the ultimate goal of which is to restore and preserve the health of the population.
The aim of the study. To study the features of the multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of patients with included dentition defects and dentoalveolar deformities.
Objects and methods. The clinical part of the work is based on the results of examination and treatment of 22 patients aged 18–54 years with defects in the dentition in the lateral sections and dentoalveolar deformities, who underwent the installation of dental implants simultaneously with the installation of orthodontic mini-implants for subsequent intrusion of extruded teeth and further orthopedic treatment, aimed on restoring the integrity of the dentition.
Results and discussion. When planning the terms of rehabilitation of patients, it is important to take into account the values of the rate of tooth intrusion, which depend not only on the anatomical location, type of bone tissue, but also on the group affiliation of the teeth and on average are: for maxillary molars it is 0.67 mm/month, for maxillary premolars – 0.91 mm/month, molars of the lower jaw – 0.36 mm/month, premolars of the lower jaw – 0.73 mm/month.
Conclusion. Complex treatment, including a combination of minimally invasive methods of orthodontics, surgery and orthopedics using skeletal support on orthodontic mini-implants is a modern, organ-preserving, highly effective rehabilitation option for patients with included dentition defects and dentoalveolar deformities.
