The methods of manufacturing adhesive prosthesis

ABSTRACT
In the presence of small included defects of the dentition, orthopedic structures are traditionally made – bridge prostheses. As an alternative variant may be an adhesive bridge prosthesis comprising replacing the missing tooth with a photopolymer and a reinforcing tape secured by an adhesive system on the teeth closing the defect. The development of dental materials science, as well as the desire of patients to preserve their own teeth for as long as possible, made it possible to actively improve minimally invasive methods of replacing the dentition – adhesive fiber structures.
The aim of the study was to describe methods for the manufacture of adhesive bridge prostheses for patients with partial adentia in the field of frontal and chewing teeth and to give recommendations for hygienic care of structures.
Objects and methods. In the absence of one or more teeth combined with the atrophy of the alveolar edge, a method of producing a combined structure comprising splitting the movable teeth, repairing a dentition defect using a self-tooth and a photopolymerizing composite is proposed.
Results and discussion. The article describes the steps of manufacturing an adhesive prosthesis in the absence of a front tooth and a premolar. Recommendations on carrying out individual hygiene in patients with manufactured adhesive prostheses are given.
Conclusion. Modern technologies in therapeutic dentistry allow you to model restorations that are an alternative to more complex and expensive orthopedic structures, in some cases requiring significant tooth preparation or surgery on the alveolar bone. Adhesive reinforcing fibers provide sufficient stability and composite materials meet the aesthetic requirements of the patient.
