Mesial occlusion: features of diagnosis and treatment according to new clinical protocol

ABSTRACT
Currently, the mesial occlusion is one of the most complex anomalies in terms of morphological, functional and aesthetic changes in the dentofacial region.
The aim of the study is to determine the features of the diagnosis and treatment of mesial occlusion according to the new clinical protocol.
Results of the study and their discussion. There are three degrees of severity of the mesial occlusion, determined on the basis of the ratio of the anterior and lateral teeth and the parameters of the radiation method of research (teleroentgenography of the head in the lateral projection), as well as the ratio and position of the incisors of the upper and lower jaws. The basis of modern orthodontics is a well-designed individual treatment plan. The choice of adequate diagnostic methods, on the basis of which treatment planning is carried out, is an extremely important step for all subsequent work. The main principles of diagnosing mesial occlusion are: identifying factors that affect the occurrence and development of mesial occlusion at the dentoalveolar and (or) gnathic level, determining the severity, as well as determining indications for treatment, choosing a treatment method and tactics of a specialist doctor; conducting differential diagnosis of mesial occlusion; identification of the relationship between dental and general health with mesial occlusion.
Conclusion. For the treatment of patients with mesial occlusion, a new set of therapeutic and diagnostic measures has been developed and clinically substantiated, which can significantly improve the functional and aesthetic state of the dentoalveolar system, as well as reduce the risk of complications.its effectiveness and allowing to significantly improve the functional and aesthetic condition of the dental system, as well as reduce the risk of complications.
