Evaluation of the strength of adhesive fixation of ceramic restorations depending on odontopreparation under experimental conditions

ABSTRACT
The aim of the study. To determine the adhesive strength of the enamel compound with poly-wool ceramics by shear and tensile methods under experimental conditions, depending on the type of odontopreparation for minimally invasive ceramic structures.
Objects and methods. Laboratory samples of teeth sections (n  =  20) processed by the kinetic (n  =  10) and rotational method (n = 10), mounted in acrylic plastic, with a prototype of feldspathic ceramics fixed according to the adhesion protocol. As a result of the study, it was proven that the method of tooth preparation during micro prosthetics affects the quality of the adhesive strength of the ceramic restoration, this is confirmed by a shear and tensile test.
Results and discussion. The results of the shear test during rotational odontopreparation have a lower value, statistically significant by 0.6 MPa, indicating lower adhesive strength of the connection between feldspathic ceramics and tooth enamel, relative to the kinetic preparation group. Indicators of adhesive strength obtained by the tensile method in these groups have a lower value by 0.3 MPa during odontopreparation using the mechanical method.
Conclusion. A comparison of the results obtained demonstrates good adhesive bonding in the enamel/ adhesive/composite cement/feldspathic ceramic structure in all study groups. There was a tendency towards the highest values of adhesive strength for shear and tension when using the kinetic method of odontopreparation in comparison with the classical rotational one.
