ABSTRACT
Tooth perforation can be defined as an unnatural communication of the bottom or root canal with the periodontium. Such a complication is quite often the cause of tooth loss and still remains a problem for modern dentists due to the difficulty of predicting the treatment performed and the inability to predict the reaction of periodontal tissues.
The aim of the study. To study the effectiveness of treating tooth root perforation using a dental microscope and an artificial intelligence program using two clinical cases as an example.
Objects and methods. This article demonstrates clinical cases of perforation treatment using automated diagnostic methods with the help of artificial intelligence Diagnokat and treatment with modern equipment and materials.
Results and discussion. Timely competent diagnostics and automation of CBCT analysis allow doctors to detect perforations at early stages, predict the features of the anatomical structure of the tooth, monitor the treatment performed and analyze the obtained data with a visual demonstration of the treatment results for the patient.
Conclusion. Treatment of root perforation using a dental microscope with the use of CBCT and artificial intelligence-based programs allows endodontists to improve the quality of their treatment and avoid complications.
