ABSTRACT
Restoration of the lost functions of the dental system in the presence of pronounced uneven atrophy of the alveolar process using digital technology is the current direction of modern dental practice.
The aim of the study. To demonstrate, on a clinical example, the possibilities of digital manufacturing techniques for a permanent denture design with secondary partial adentia, complicated by pronounced atrophy of the alveolar process.
Objects and methods. Based on the comprehensive examination of the patient, a multi-stage plan of functional and aesthetic rehabilitation was drawn up.
Results and discussion. The article describes the main stages of surgical and orthopedic treatment of a dental patient, including planning, preprothetic preparation, dental implantation and prosthetics with structures made using CAD / CAM technology.
Conclusions.. The use of modern digital programs for modeling dental prostheses significantly improves the functional and aesthetic indicators of prosthetics in difficult clinical situations. Treatment of patients with severe unilateral atrophy of the alveolar process should be directed not only at the restoration of lost teeth, but also at restoring the bone volume, which is an important supporting component in the functioning of the muscles. The success of treatment begins with proper planning and is achieved in a painstaking teamwork.
