ABSTRACT
One of the priorities in ensuring dental health is the diagnosis of the probability of development and dynamic evaluation of treatment of diseases of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
The aim. Evaluation of the diagnostic efficiency of the method of digital diagnostics of sounds in the area of temporomandibular joints.
Objects and methods. The analysis of the results of a one-stage, cross-sectional study of 126 patients 20-36 years old with TMJ dysfunction in bruxism, with duration of these conditions not more than 3 years, obtained by digital diagnostics of sounds and without acoustic devices.
Conclusion. The developed method of diagnostics of sounds in TMJ allows to more accurately hear the sounds and more effectively distinguish them. The probability of detecting sounds using the method of digital diagnostics is up to 1.18 times higher than method tofo diagnostics without the use of acoustic devices, and 1.5 times higher when determining the synchronicity of occlusal sound.
