Modern methods of orthopedic treatment in the comprehensive rehabilitation of patients with muscular-articular dysfunctions in combination with signs of bruxism

ABSTRACT
The use of non-metal constructions of dentures is a relevant and perspective approach at the stage of orthopedic treatment of patients with muscular-articular dysfunctions for improve the aesthetic component of orthopedic rehabilitation.
The aim of the study. To evaluate the effectiveness of the preparatory phase of the orthopedic treatment stage in the comprehensive rehabilitation of muscular-articular dysfunctions in combination with the signs of bruxism.
Objects and methods. The clinical part of the work is based on the results of examination and treatment of 28 patients aged 35–54 years with TMJ pain dysfunction syndrome. In all 28 subjects, the leading symptom was muscle hypertension, manifested in the form of uncontrolled compression of the dentition or bruxism. At the orthopedic stage of treatment, the aesthetics of the smile and face were restored using non-metal structures of dentures.
Results and discussion. The data obtained during the examination of patients of the first and second groups indicate a high efficiency of the therapeutic resource.
Conclusion. To achieve good results in the treatment of patients with muscular-articular disorders, it is important to fully use the diagnostic and therapeutic resource, taking into account the characteristics of the patient’s personality, psychological component, and also analyze these data in the framework of the internal picture of the disease.
