Effectiveness of clinical implementation of recommendations foraesthetic repair of teeth

ABSTRACT
The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical implementation of recommendations for aesthetic repair of hard tissues of teeth with cavities of carious and non-carious origin.
Objects and methods. In order to evaluate the quality of the 370 aesthetic restores we produced using the developed aesthetic quality index – AQI, their color characteristics and shape were determined immediately after manufacture and after 12–18 months.
Results and discussion. The results of the assessment of aesthetic restoration immediately after their manufacture show excellent quality of the performed structures. In the treatment of cavities of carious and non-carious origin, the aesthetic quality index was 0, 99 ± 0,01 in the correction of shape and size anomalies and in the manufacture of adhesive prostheses – 0, 94 ± 0,03 and 0,99 ± 0,01, respectively. The results of a clinical evaluation 12–18 the manufactured designs after 96 months of operation showed that 8,8 ± 1,2% of aesthetic restores retained their original look. A small part of the work (3,2 ± 0,5%) had fractures and surface roughness, as well as pigmentation along the edge of the seal, which is mainly due to non-compliance with the rules of operation of the structures and insufficient level of individual hygiene.
Conclusion. The use of new methods of treating teeth with cavities of carious and non-carious origin, including preparation of cavities, sealing with reconstruction of their anatomical shape, color, optical properties, fluorescence spectrum, surface relief taking into account age and individual features of teeth of a particular patient, made it possible to significantly improve the quality of production of aesthetic structures, bringing their appearance as close as possible to natural teeth.
