Clinical aspects of restoring color of depulping teeth

ABSTRACT
The aim of the study was to develop and propose a system of rational choice of methods and means of restoring color teeth after endodontic treatment by intracrown whitening, taking into account the clinical situation.
Objects and methods included retrospective analysis, experimental, clinical, and statistical.
Results and discussion. As a result of the study, the prevalence of teeth changed in color after endodontic treatment and the frequency of occurrence of devital teeth that do not match the color standards were studied, additional shades of the standard VITA scale for determining tooth color were developed, the effect of whitening and subsequent remineralizing therapy on the acid resistance of enamelled teeth after extracrown whitening was determined , studied the insulating properties of materials used for the manufacture of wellhead fillings with intracrown whitening of teeth. The advantage of using self-adhesive self-etching composite double-cured cement and glass-ionomer double-cured cement is shown to reduce the risk of complications after intracrown whitening by 23,7%.
Conclusion. The data obtained indicate that when identifying the color shades of depulpated teeth with high saturation and low light level, it is recommended to use additional standards that are not in the standard VITA scale. With the help of new additional standards of the scale, it is possible to most accurately determine the shades of the depulled teeth, to register them, to evaluate the effectiveness of the whitening or other aesthetic treatment.
